11 Dating Photo Mistakes That Quietly Kill Your Matches

Improving a profile is usually subtraction, not addition. Removing the two or three weakest photos lifts the whole set, because people judge the average and the worst photo pulls it down hardest. Here are the ones doing the damage, with the replacement for each.

Fix them in this order
- 1Delete anything where your face is unclear, hidden, or distorted. Do this first — it is the cheapest gain available.
- 2Replace the first photo with your clearest, warmest, best-lit face shot.
- 3Add a full-body photo if you do not have one.
- 4Cut duplicates until every remaining photo does a different job.
- 5Only then shoot new material to fill the gaps.
